Expert Lecture on "Entrepreneurship and Self-Employment" on 21-04-2023
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Training and Placement Cell, and Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) at the Government College in Narayangarh organized a special expert lecture on "Entrepreneurship and Self-Employment" on April 21, 2023. The event aimed to motivate and guide students towards employment by providing them with valuable insights and success stories from various individuals. The lecture was delivered by two experts in the field, Mr. Rajveer Chaudhary, President of Sahay Industrial Area Association, and Mr. Center Head of Entrepreneurship and Career Development Cell at Government College Sector 1, Panchkula. Mr. Rajveer drew inspiration from the lives of great personalities like Swami Vivekananda to emphasize the importance of time and self-confidence in achieving success. On the other hand, Ms. Tanushree Chandra Center Head, Entrepreneurship Cell, Govt. College, Sec-01 Panchkula, shared her knowledge on how students can start their own businesses and how to get make them successful. The speakers shared their success stories to encourage the students towards self-employment and entrepreneurship. Students were motivated by the speakers to look beyond conventional employment opportunities and to explore the world of entrepreneurship. At the end of the program, Principal Mrs. Pramila Malik expressed gratitude to both speakers for their valuable time and wished the students a bright future. The event was a great success and will undoubtedly help the students in their future endeavors. About 135 students of M.A., B.Com & B.Sc. final year were benefitted from the lecture.

Career Counselling in "Management" on 01-04-2023
A career counseling lecture was organized by Chitkara University, Rajpura Patiala on April 1, 2023. Mr. Mandeep Sehmbi, Director of Strategic Sourcing at Chitkara University was the keynote speaker. Around sixty students were present in the session. He started with various career options available with the students after completing their graduation degree from different universities. He guided them on choosing the right course according to their interest, market demand etc. He focused on the different MBA courses which the students can pursue and can make their career in it. He talked about different marketing skills in the field of online marketing and how they are useful in today’s world. He gave practical demonstration on the marketing skills and how they can use it to make an earning. The students raised questions and cleared their doubts. Mrs. Promila Malik, Principal motivated the students for enrolling in various courses and make their career in it. Ms. Reema Sandhu, Mrs. Priya Dhingra , Dr. Swaranjeet Singh and Mr. Rajinder Kumar were present in the lecture.

Career Counseling in the field of Law and Management on 02 March 2023
A career counseling lecture was organized by Himalayan Institute, Kala Amb, Nahan (H.P) on March 2, 2023. Mr. Simarjeet Singh Bawa was the keynote speaker. Around hundred students were present in the session. He started with various career options available with the students in the field of law and management after completion of their graduation degree from different universities across India. The students were motivated to choose the subject according to their interest and to update their skills according to the market demand etc. He focused on the different management courses and law degree which the students can pursue and can make their career in it. He talked about different professional courses in the field of online marketing and law. He talked about scope of IT in the management and how it is useful in today’s world. He encouraged students to ask questions about different careers and suggested them different options available with them. The students raised questions and cleared their doubts. Mrs. Promila Malik, Principal motivated the students on choosing right careers which they can depend on later stage in life. Ms. Reema Sandhu, Mrs. Priya Dhingra, Mr. Swaranjeet Singh and Mr. Rajinder Kumar were present in the lecture.

Three Days Workshop on FINISHING SCHOOL on 15 Feb 2023 to 17 Feb 2023
The college organized “FINISHING SCHOOL WORKSHOP” under Placement Cell for three days from 15/02/2023 to 17/02/2023 at 10:30 am to 01:30 pm. More than 100 students participated in the workshop. Mrs. Benu Rao from Rao’s Academy, Panchkula was the resource person for the workshop. On 15 Feb 2023 Mr. Swaranjeet Singh welcomed the Resource Person, Principal, staff members and students at the commencement of the workshop. On 1st day she guided the students about dressing sense, communication skills and presentation skills. She also guided them about wearing the right dress according to the occasion and how they should communicate and present themselves in the society. On IInd day she talked about the skill development and personality development where she taught about learning new skills that adds value to their personality and also gave tips on how they can develop their personality by improving their body language and using effective communication skills. On the third day she talked about various career options available with the students after completion of their courses and how they can choose the right career for themselves. She also talked about “self introspection” and also discussed on how students can use it to improve their personal behavior. She conducted mock interviews with few students and also improved their communication and presentation skills. The Principal of the college Mrs. Promila Malik motivated the students to attend such workshops which are beneficial for them in the growth of their career in near future. The placement cell members Mr. Swaranjeet Singh, Dr. Priya Dhingra, Dr. Sonu Walia and Mr. Rajender Kumar contributed immensely in successful organization of the workshop.

Workshop on Soft Skills , Decision Making and Personality Development from 24-30 May 2022.
 
The one week workshop on “CAREER COUNSELLING, SOFT SKILLS and INTERVIEW SKILLS “was organized in the college under the placement cell by “Magic Bus Foundation” from 24-30 May 2022. Ms. Ruchika was the expert of the workshop. She conducted sessions on managing socio emotional skills, managing self introspection and handling personality. She emphasized on developing strong communication skills required at different levels. She motivated the students through various practical sessions that included storytelling, question answer sessions etc. She also highlighted on the topic of aptitude tests in which the students face difficulty while appearing in competitive exams. She also emphasized on the topic of decision making and guided the students on how they can make the right decisions related to various aspects of their life.  She conducted practical sessions on making choices related to their careers. She also provided valuable tips regarding facing interviews so that the students after getting their degrees can appear for job fairs or can apply in some organisation. The students were given direction on how they can choose the suitable job according to their qualifications and interests.

Workshop on CV Writing, Personality Development and Interview Facing Skills on 25-26 Feb and 28 Feb 2022. 
The placement cell organized workshop on CV Writing, Personality Development and Interview Facing Skills on 25-26 Feb and 28 Feb 2022 from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm on all three days. The trained faculties comprising Mr. Gurpreet Singh and Ms. Deepika were the keynote speakers. Nearly 62 students from all the streams in the college were enrolled in the workshop.  On 25th Feb the session on CV writing was conducted in which the students were guided on how they can make their resume attractive by following certain tips. The lab sessions on CV Writing was conducted in two labs simultaneously which was managed by both the trainers. On 25 Feb 2022 the session on Personality development was conducted in which the students were mentored on how they can improve their personalities by their right posture, communication skills and their dressing sense. On 28 Feb the session on facing interview skills was conducted in which the students were told about facing the interview and also mock interview sessions were conducted individually in which all the participants were tested and their strengths and weaknesses were taken into consideration. In the last session the students raised questions and they were thoroughly answered by the experts. Refreshment was provided to the participants on all the three days.
