Engagement of Apprentices (2022-23)

Progress Report

In the pursuance of Apprentice Act – 1961, the apprentices in the designated trades (COPA  =and Steno) have to be engaged in the institution. The contract tenure of these apprentices is one year. In compliance to the Act, total seven seats (One Steno (Hindi), One Steno (English), Five COPA) were created on our college apprenticeship portal through website  www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in  for the session 2022-23.

 To engage the apprentices, an interview call was sent to all the candidate who have applied on our college portal to be present physically in the college campus on 25.11.2022 for the skill test. The panel and selection committee were constituted to conduct the skill test and interview of the physically reported candidates. The Selection criteria was approved by the principal of the college. By adopting the proper selection criteria, total seven apprentices were engaged in the college for the session 2022-23 w.e.f. December 1,2022 to November 30, 2023.

               ‘Earn While You Learn’ Scheme 2022-23                                                       Progress Report

The interview of the students under Earn While You Learn Scheme was held on 29.09.22. The students who had not given the interview on the said date, on their request, their interview was held on 08.10.22. The interview was taken by the Committee constituted by the Principal namely Dr. Davinder Dhingra, Associate Professor of Commerce, Mr. Subhash Kumar, Associate Professor of Economics and members of Earn While You Learn Committee under the chairmanship of the Principal. Total 82 applications were received under this scheme out of which 72 students appeared for the interview and 25 students were selected as per the requirements and budget allotted by the DGHE. The Selection Criteria has been decided by the interview committee according to the guidelines issued by the Director General Higher Education, Panchkula, Haryana under the letter No. these 25 selected students have been allocated to different departments, labs and offices of the college according to the requirements.
