The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces with its headquarters in New Delhi, India. It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis as a Tri-Services Organisation, comprising the Army, the Navy and the Air Force, engaged in developing the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens.
• The NCC in India was formed in 1948. It can be traced back to the ‘University Corps’, which was created under the Indian Defence Act 1917, with the objective to make up for a shortage of personnel in the Army.
• "Unity and Discipline" is the motto of National Cadet Corps

Objectives of the Programme 
• The NCC aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens. 
• To Create a Human Resource of Organized, Trained and Motivated Youth, To Provide Leadership in all Walks of life and be Always Available for the Service of the Nation. 
• To Provide a Suitable Environment to Motivate the Youth to Take Up a Career in the Armed Forces.

NCC ARMY WING at GC Naraingarh
• The NCC platoon of Govt College, Naraingarh was established in 1982 and Sh. R. M. Parasher was the first Associate NCC Officer. 
• Dr. Satish Kumar, Assistant Professor of Geography performing duty of NCC Officer since March 2020. 
• The NCC platoon of Govt College, Naraingarh is functioning under the 2 Haryana Battalion NCC, Ambala Cantt which authorized the total strength is 53 including SD and SW cadets.
