Students of Government College Naraingarh participated with great enthusiasm in the 37th Ratnawali State Level Festival organized by the Youth and Cultural Program Department of Kurukshetra University. This four day festival held from October 25 to 28 in celebration of Haryana Day provided students a platform to showcase their skills in a variety of traditional and cultural events. Students from the college took part in solo performances of Haryanvi folk instruments Haryanvi ghazal folk songs drama Haryanvi orchestra rituals ragini bhajan and other traditional activities proudly representing their college on this prestigious stage.
In a remarkable achievement Devender a final year BCom student won third place in the Haryanvi folk instrumental solo and Gurpreet a second year BA student secured fifth place in Haryanvi ghazal. The winners were awarded cash prizes and certificates in recognition of their achievements.
College Principal Dr Ajit Singh congratulated the Cultural Committee members and the winning students noting that their success is the result of teamwork and dedication. He emphasized that Ratnawali offers students a unique platform to build confidence and self reliance. Professor Renu Kumari Contingent In Charge of the Cultural Committee remarked that Ratnawali is a confluence of skill and culture and expressed her belief that the students will approach the upcoming inter zonal competitions with the same zeal and hard work aiming for outstanding performances.
The program’s success was made possible by the contributions of Dr Devender Kumar a tabla player and professors Joga Singh Sanjeev Kumar Dr Shubham Dr Satish Dr Rahul Dr Sonu Praveen Nisha Ashima Thakur Rajrani and the entire staff.
