Independence Day was celebrated at Government College Naraingarh under the esteemed chairmanship of Principal Dr. Ajit Singh. The event was graced by Mr. Surender Kumar, the college's sweeper, who was honored as the chief guest and entrusted with the significant duty of hoisting the National Flag. Following this, the Principal, faculty members, and NSS/NCC volunteers paid their respects by saluting the flag. The ceremony continued with the singing of the National Anthem, fostering a deep sense of patriotism among the approximately 100 staff members and 50 NSS/NCC volunteers in attendance.
A vibrant cultural program ensued, during which Dr. Ajit Singh delivered an insightful address, highlighting the invaluable contributions of our freedom fighters in securing India's independence. He also paid tribute to the countless unsung heroes who played a crucial role in the struggle for freedom. Additionally, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar and Mr. Naresh Kumar from the History Department shared their reflections on the significance of this day.
The program also featured enthusiastic performances by students, who showcased their talents through patriotic songs, dances, and poems, further enriching the atmosphere of the celebration. The event culminated in the distribution of laddoos, symbolizing the sweet taste of freedom and shared joy among all those present. The celebration was a fitting tribute to the spirit of independence and a reminder of the collective effort required to uphold the values for which so many have fought and sacrificed.
