30-01-2024 Empowering Workplace Equality: POSH Workshop at Govt. P.G. College, Naraingarh

Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) conducted a POSH workshop for the students and teaching and non-teaching staff of
the college on 30.01.2024.
The workshop aimed to create awareness about the prevention of Sexual Harassment of Women at work place (Prevention, Prohibition and redressal) Act, 2013. The Act is an extension of the Vishaka Guidelines issued by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in 1997. The workshop outlined the responsibilities of both the employer and the employees. The workshop was focused on
1. Overview of the ICC and its significance
2. Understanding the complaint resolution process
3. Roles and responsibilities of ICC members
4. Case studies and practical scenarios
5. Discussion and Q&A session
The workshop enlightened the participants on the purview of the act and also sensitised them.
The workshop was conducted by Dr.Seema Rana and members of ICC of Govt.P.G. College,Naraingarh.
Principal, Mrs.Bhupinder K Dhiman,apart from supporting and appreciating this initiative, ascertained that ICC of the college is committed to providing and promoting a safe,healthy and congenial atmosphere ,irrespective of gender, caste ,creed or social class of the employees. This workshop turned out to be very informative and interactive.
