The Internal Complaints Committee of Govt. P.G. College Naraingarh organized a workshop on Prevention of Sexual Harassment under the chairmanship of Principal Dr. Ajit Singh and the guidance of Incharge Mr. Joga Singh on 11th January 2025 at 1200 PM in the Library Building. The workshop aimed to raise awareness about the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act 2013 an extension of the Vishaka Guidelines issued by the Honble Supreme Court in 1997. It highlighted the responsibilities of both employers and employees in ensuring a safe workplace. Key topics covered during the workshop included The significance of the ICC and its role Understanding the complaint resolution process and roles and responsibilities of ICC members. The workshop provided valuable insights into the provisions of the POSH Act sensitized participants about workplace harassment and emphasized the importance of fostering a respectful and inclusive environment. The session was conducted by Dr. Seema Rana Chairperson of ICC along with ICC members Prof. Devender Dhingra Prof. Renu Kumari and Deputy Paramveer Kaur. The Principal Dr. Ajit Singh and the college incharge Mr. Joga Singh supported and appreciated this initiative. They reiterated the colleges commitment to creating and maintaining a safe healthy and inclusive environment for all regardless of gender caste creed or social class. The workshop was highly informative and interactive leaving a positive impact on all participants.
