On 12-08-2024, a quiz competition was organized by the Science Society at the Government Postgraduate College, Narayangarh, under the guidance of College Principal Dr. Ajit Singh and presided over by Acting Principal Sanjeev Kumar. The event saw enthusiastic participation from the college's science students, who engaged in the competition with great zeal. The quiz featured a series of questions focused on various science-related topics, testing the students' knowledge and understanding of the subject.
A significant turnout of around 100 students participated in the event, both as contestants and as viewers. The atmosphere was charged with excitement as the students eagerly awaited each question, cheering on their peers and supporting their respective teams. The event provided an excellent platform for the students to showcase their scientific knowledge and fostered a spirit of healthy competition among them.
During the event, the College Principal delivered an insightful message on the profound impact and relevance of science in our daily lives. He emphasized the importance of scientific understanding and encouraged the students to continue participating actively in future competitions and academic events organized by the college. His words served as a motivation for the students to further enhance their knowledge and remain engaged in academic pursuits.
The competition featured seven teams, each striving for the top spot. After a series of challenging rounds, the team comprising Megha Dhiman, Manpreet Kaur, and Riya emerged victorious, securing first place. The second position was claimed by the team of Navneet, Priya, and Muskan, while the team of Gagandeep, Rohan, and Yogesh won third place. All the winning teams were awarded certificates in recognition of their achievements, which added to the overall excitement and sense of accomplishment.
The event was a collective effort of the entire Science Society, with contributions from all its members, including Prof. Anil Saini, Prof. Reema Sandhu, Prof. Rajiv Goyal, Prof. Vandana Saini, and Prof. Renu Gupta. Their dedication and hard work were instrumental in the success of the event. In addition to the society members, many other faculty members of the college were also present to support the event. These included Prof. Neha Walia, Prof. Deepak Saini, Prof. Rahul Kumar, Prof. Sonu Rani, Prof. Priya, Prof. Swarnjit Singh, Prof. Rakesh Kumar, Prof. Rajrani, Prof. Poojadeep, Prof. Deepti, Prof. Neelu, Sonia Dua, and Mr. Sandeep.
The quiz competition not only highlighted the scientific acumen of the students but also reinforced the college's commitment to promoting academic excellence and extracurricular activities.
