On September 21, 2024, a PowerPoint Presentation competition was successfully conducted at Government College Naraingarh under the joint initiative of the Computer Science and Mathematics Departments. The event was held under the guidance and supervision of the Principal, Dr. Ajit Singh. The primary aim of this competition was to encourage students to explore and present emerging technological and mathematical topics in an engaging manner. A total of 20 students actively participated, presenting 12 well-researched and informative PowerPoint presentations on contemporary topics such as Green Computing, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, and the application of Mathematics in Artificial Intelligence. These topics reflect the increasing importance of technology in modern education and its integration with various fields of study. Among the participants, Mahak from B.Com second year secured the first position with her insightful and detailed presentation. Aryan, a first-year BCA student, achieved second place, showcasing his grasp of the subject matter. The third position was shared by Chetna and Lakshita from BCA second year, and Harmandeep Kaur from BA third year, whose collaborative efforts and creativity were highly appreciated. The event was presided over by Acting Principal, Assistant Professor Joga Singh from the English Department. In his address to the students, he lauded their enthusiasm, analytical skills, and commitment to learning. He also emphasized the importance of such academic activities in honing presentation and research skills and encouraged the students to continue participating in similar events to enhance their overall academic experience. The competition also witnessed the gracious presence of several esteemed faculty members from different departments. These included Prof. Reema Sandhu, Head of the Computer Science Department, and Prof. Renu Gupta, Head of the Mathematics Department. Other notable faculty members present were Prof. Seema Rana from the English Department, Prof. Anil Saini from the Chemistry Department, and other dignitaries such as Prof. Rajiv, Swarnjit Singh, Raj Rani, Rakesh Kumar, Poojadeep, Deepti Dhingra, and Sonia Dua. Their presence added prestige to the event, and they played an instrumental role in evaluating the presentations and encouraging the students. The competition was a great success, fostering an environment of intellectual curiosity and creativity among students, and reinforcing the college's commitment to academic excellence and holistic student development.
