Posted on 27/12/2025

A Poster Making Competition was organized by the Red Cross Club of Government College, Naraingarh on the occasion of World AIDS Day. The objective of the competition was to spread awareness among students about HIV/AIDS and to sensitize them towards the importance of continuous awareness rather than limiting it to a single day. The event was conducted under the guidance of Principal Dr. Rohit Kumar, and the programme was coordinated by Dr. Aparna Chawla. Addressing the students, the coordinator emphasized that World AIDS Day should be observed as a sustained awareness campaign to educate society and remove myths related to HIV/AIDS. A total of 15 students participated enthusiastically in the competition. The posters reflected creativity, awareness, and social responsibility. The results of the competition were as follows: First Prize: Tamanna and Madhu (B.A. Second Year) Second Prize: Anuj Sharma (B.A. Third Year) Third Prize: Ishu Rojra (B.A.) The competition was evaluated by a distinguished judging panel comprising Prof. Subhash Kumar, Prof. Sanjeev Kumar (Department of History), and Prof. Renu Kumari. The programme concluded successfully with appreciation for the participants and organizers. The event played a significant role in promoting awareness and reinforcing the message of prevention and compassion towards people living with HIV/AIDS.
