11-09-2024 Extension Lecture on Drug Awareness and Prevention

an extension lecture was organized today by the Anti-Drugs Cell under the guidance of Principal Dr. Ajit Singh and chaired by Acting Principal Mr. Sanjeev Kumar. Dr. Nandini Modgil, Assistant Professor in the Psychology Department of Government Women’s College, Shahzadpur, was the guest speaker. She educated the students about the harmful effects of drugs on the body and informed them about ways to avoid drug addiction. Through an interactive activity, she encouraged students to focus on positive aspects of life and move forward. The college principal also addressed the students, emphasizing the negative impact of drugs on society and urged them to stay away from any form of addiction. Dr. Jagdeep Singh, who conducted the program, shared that around 20% of the world’s population is addicted to some form of substance abuse, but with self-confidence, this problem can be overcome. Professors Sanjeev Aggarwal, Swarnjeet Singh, Rahul Kumar, Deepak Saini, Nisha, and Mukesh Kumar contributed to making the event a success. About 90 students participated in the event.
