09-09-2024 Movie Screening for M.A. (English) Students

The Department of English,Govt.PG College,Naraingarh organised a movie screening for MA Final year students on 9.9.2024, under the chairmanship of principal Dr.Ajit Singh and convener-ship of the Head of the Department Mr.Sanjeev Kumar. Dr.Seema Rana was the incharge of today’s screening.The Title of the movie was “Jane Eyre” which is based on Charlotte Bronte’s novel ‘JANE EYRE.’ The screening aimed to provide post-graduate students, an opportunity to understand literature and gender issues.
Approximately Twenty Eight students attended the screening.A discussion session was held to encourage critical thinking and analysis. Various themes,character -development,cinematography, film’s relevance to academic disciplines and visual storytelling techniques were discussed .The movie screening proved to be an enriching experience for attendees, facilitating both entertainment and academic engagement.
